BBC Starts MusiCubes

BBC Radio One’s Musicube campaign kicked off. In this campaign they let you compose your personal music tower by selecting slices of music genres (each 10%) and pile them up until you reach a 100% tower. Adding a Musicube tower to your personal webspace is very easy. You can also send it to your mates, to show them the music you’re into. And of course you can listen to the music and shows you want directly from your tower.

K-Fee Turbodrink Viral Clips

Promo talk: the K-fee turbodrink is freshly brewed roasted coffee with whole milk that you can enjoy easily and everywhere. A ready mix with a great taste and a strong effect – because one can of K-fee turbodrink contains twice as much natural caffeine, but only half the calories of typical energy drinks.

This dink is supposed to wake you up, get you going etc. The fact this drink exists isn’t remarkable at all. What is worth mentioning is that the clips they use to promote this beverage are spreading very fast over the internet. The clips are not for sensitive viewers. The tagline: “So wach warst du doch nie” means “you’ve never been so awake” weren’t so awake at all. The most famous one is definitely clip number 5, with the car driving through the countryside. It was the first commercial I saw with this ‘meme’, and it’s been around for a few months already. Many use it to fool their friends (read the description of the clip)

FHM 100 Sexiest Women Viral

British model Charlotte Marshall is the teaser for FHM’s latest viral game. “On the site, in various come-hither poses and states of undress, Marshall asks visitors four questions about their ideal woman, and responds with customized answers presumably based on keywords. [...] Then, based on the answers, she offers three options of women to vote for. Once you vote, you get to “enjoy some extra fun with Charlotte” in a handful of bonus clips.”

42 Below has re-launched a funny celebrity flash viral to promote its famous vodka. Next to the celebrity flash clip, there’s are 5 other flash ads on the site: hero, call centre, britain, gay and the story of New Zealand.

Hot Dog Viral

The I-love-Hot-Dog viral is a promotional action for what seems to be a new Hip Hop/Rap artist. The ‘group’ itself is entirely pictured as ‘dawgs’, there’s no humans in the clips. The movies on the site include something like MTV Cribs, but then with dogs who show you around in the mansion while trippin’ about the wealth, the fame & fortune. Other clips are either the promotional music clip (cool song, by the way) or a clip about ‘three fans that are watching tv’. This clip is a must see, especially where one of the fans brings his human to the party :)

There’s a shoot’m up game where you’re in the seat of a car and you drive through the city and you have to shoot as many kittens as possible in drive-by style. The ringtone section has snippets from the track, you can also download a DIY graffiti tag to mark your own dog (or territory). There’s also a wallpaper and sticker section, which reveals something about The Bone Crushers, something you also become part of when you’ve finished level 10 of the game. (You need to have 50.000 points to succeed, but the high score list reveals players with 98.000+ points, and I can guarantee you that you’ll have to shoot a lot of pussy to get there – I can still feel the pain in my hand and I’ve only scored 52.000 points.) – The photo gallery is an archive of incredibly pimped-up dogs and is quite funny to visit. You can send in pics of your own pimped up dog too and if the pic is cool enough, it’ll be added.

This viral is created by Buzzman for premiere-heure. The target group are the youngsters between 10 and 25 years. The site has been launched on February 23rd, the goal was to have between 50.000 and 100.000 visitors at the end of the operation. Within 2 weeks they had 150.000 visits. The unknown client is going to reveal himself pretty soon… but is still unknown. The rap music is in French, the site also has a Dutch version.

Mammut Clothing Viral

Mary Woodbridge lives in Greenfield, UK, together with her dog Daisy. Mary is about to climb mount everest. On her site, Mary has a few video clips of the preparations she’s been doing. There’s a ‘Tips for Mary’ corner and ‘Plan and Training’ section. The website looks like a very basic one in html, the way websites were made long ago in forgotten decades of the previous century. You just got to see this, it’s a great experience, created by Spillmann/Felser/Leo Burnett from Zurich, Switzerland.

Story: An 85-year old British Lady by the name of Mary Wooldbridge, who takes her dachshund for a daily walk, buys a Mammut-Jacket to proctect herself from the wind and weather. This Jacket is obviously so good that the elderly lady believes that she can climb Mount Everest wearing it.

Viral Oil Clock

The Syriana movie is live in cinemas since March 3rd, but the viral still is pretty impressive. The Design is quite stylish and the concept is just brilliant. Concept: “The world’s oil is due to run out in 2050, but what if everyone on this planet consumed oil at the same rate as you?” – All you need to do is answer a few questions to see which impact it would have on the world’s remaining oil reserves… Everything is connected.

The questions you need to answer are very normal questions about your usage of power and resources, about your consumer behavior. There aren’t many questions. About ten I guess. After that, the tool estimates the population change, recalculates the oil production, rationalizes the data, constructs matrices and builds results. In my case, if everyone acted like me, this would be the result:

MSN Search Toolbar Interactive Game

Following the UK team, MSN Search Toolbar launched a new interactive game for Belgium in the last week of February. The Flemish version is titled: ‘Waar is Kitty?’ (Where’s Kitty?) and the entire point of the game is that you need to use your (MSN Search) toolbar to explore the various environments in the game, pick up clues, challenge alibis and discover who stole the little cat.
