Ariel Billboard

02 Mar 2007

Very remotely related to what IKEA did with their ‘A Little Fabric Makes A Big Difference’ campaign, Ariel had this billboard space dressed up with softish towely fabric to illustrate the effect of the volume- and fluffyness-adding product property. Personally I think it would’ve made more sense if they dressed up the bench the people have to sit on at bus stops while they wait for their bus. Or dress up some train interiors. There’s so many better ways to communicate this… but it’s nice to see. I wonder how many people would actually get the message whilst passing by though.

Thanks, Dave

I had this on my blog as well…dunno..maybe not everybody would get it while passing by in a hurry…but it would sure strike their interest..so maybe next time they would pay better attention to it. that’s my guess…

Albeenah, I added your blog to my feed :) you can also send me stuff like this and then I can link to you. As for your remark: isn’t it a bit weird that an ad would require two interaction moments before the message gets through? That kind of seems like a waste in terms of audience. What do you think?
