Schalke 04 Fan Calendar

Here’s a nice example of ‘fan marketing’ for the Schalke 04 football team, done by Scholz & Friends Hamburg. From the Golden Drum Awards shortlist, this piece of marketing can be placed in the bars and pubs of all Schalke 04 fanclubs, or at the homes of the many fans the popular club has. The concept is really simple, but incredibly powerful. Enemy number one Dortmund will always remain at a zero score, while Schalke sees its score growing with every day of the month, 12 times a year. Clever thinking, great execution and a good ‘brand experience’ for the consumer/football fan. Splendid!

    From a Schalke 04 point of view I have to disagree. I’m not a fan, but I can imagine a lot of ‘normal people from the street’ can see the humor of it and enjoy the pun.
