Exit Urban Shoes

24 Sep 2006

This is a very weird campaign from Belgian agency Ogilvy. It’s very arty-farty and I think it stresses the bizarre identity of the product pretty well. Exit Urban Shoes isn’t just ‘your ordinary shoe’. Exit is ‘the shoe with personality’, extravagant, remarkable and with a very high degree of ‘look at what I’m wearing. The campaign below might look edgy, but I think it has every intention to be so, since it’s a perfect extension of the brand image. Enjoy!

Is being a moral degenarate a requirement to develop ads for Exit Urban shoes. It would appear this is so based on the loathsome and morally repugnant nature of what you think will make people want to buy your product.

You might want to look up the word BOYCOTT…which is what I hope people do.

Your ads are not slick…they are sick…animal abuse is loathsome. (as are the rest of your bottom of the barrel ideas)

I assume the photo of the dog was photo-shopped but regardless, it is disgusting. And whoever created it, and whoever decided to use it are not only disgusting but stupid. Isn’t there enough ugliness in the world? Whoever said there is no such thing as bad publicity is wrong in this case. And I really hope that whoever said what goes around, comes around, is right!

Wow! You actually PAID for these ads? They make absolutely no sense and they are in no way attractive.
How the advertising agency execs must be laughing in their little padded rooms.

WHAT WERE YOU IDIOTS THINKING when you trussed that Doberman??

What kind of RESPONSIBLE imaging is THAT???!!!!

Get rid of that photo — I’d rather buy shoes at KMart than from you!!!!

Art? You have serious problems if you consider that a dog suffering is “art”.
