Since 1856

Please tell me this is a joke. I mean… yeah umm what do I mean? This is probably the worst billboard ever made. I just can’t believe this. I’m hoping it’s a Photoshopped thing, but I got it by email with a claim it was for real. So umm… yeah, what can a man write about this? Wool is great? Kind of itchy though. Let’s classify this under “please don’t do this again”. As for the creative mind that came up with it: Get help. Quick.

Since 1856

Thanks, Steven

What’s wrong with this? I laughed when I saw the image. The wool people don’t strike me as the type to be OK with this, so I’m betting it’s fake.

I would LOVE to see this on my commute and would probably be on the phone telling people to look out for it.

I agree. Still, it’s a pretty sick billboard, no?

I wouldn’t say it sick. It’s rather funny and ‘très’ bizarre. This isn’t an image you would normally see in a ‘commercial context’. Unless you are known for some shocking ads. Is this a billboard in front of the company? The brand name isn’t directly linked with it.

Sick would be if you would see a the farmer and the sheep… ‘warming the wool since…’. Might be a good parody.

On the left you can see the beginning of the word McDonalds, with a typical red building. (If I interpret that correctly). Which would mean the billboard is placed in a pretty crowded place.

What about the indecency factor? What about the kids? Why not just feature a bull standing upright in front of the pig getting a blowjob with a caption that reads “eat beef”? What is the ad world coming to? Are we selling product, or just playing childish pranks like the people who stand behind newscasters on location and wave at the camera with sheepish grins?

    Sick?

    What are you? A Mormon?

No, I’m not a Mormon. I probably have no sense of humor because I fail to see the usefulness in this. Although the catchline fits with the image, I still think it’s not something you put aside the road in a city/town.

    Allow me to illustrate:

“Mommy, why is the sheep doing that to the goat?”
“To keep it’s ass warm pumpkin”

    Get it?

No chance at this being a photoshopped image?

I think that given the tagline “Keeping your ass warm” it would be better if the pig were a donkey

actually, it would be funnier if it was a donkey instead of a pig – you know an “ass” – i know its obvious, but its a fun play on words which I think would actually make it funnier and a little less raunchy.

Well it gets your attention but not sure its going to get you to buy anything wool … in fact perhaps the opposite. Wasn’t there something about condoms orignially being made out of sheep intestine or something – strange where the mind goes.

When it comes to advertising this is an awesome idea. What’s important is when people driving at 60km per hour you have less than 2 seconds to grab their attention. I’m sure this does that and you will remember it. You might even tell your mates about it.

When it comes to ethical factor… well we all have different opinions. There are so many billboards around with half naked girls/guys or ads on the TV. I don’t see any of us complaining about those. Try explaining those to your kids.

I think this is definitely an illustration/Photoshop mix. If somehow this is a real photograph well this photographer is a legend. You don’t see pigs getting screwed by Sheep everyday now do you?

Funny as it is, you’re right, sheeps don’t screw pigs. Therefore, this ain’t natural. So it should read ‘unnatural wool’. Regardless, this billboard is hilarious!

Yam’s right, it ain’t natural, but not for that reason. What’s unnatural is that the sheep is obviously wearing a dildo, ’cause if he’d had a pecker he wouldn’t be a sheep but a ram.
