BMW Ads

These are two ads of which I don’t have any credits. One is from a Russian site somewhere (I forgot where it was) and the other was just hanging around in my archive for over a year. Since I now have two ads for BMW that are creditless, I figured I might as well bundle them and throw them online. I really like the one with the girl peeing against the tree. It’s like ‘the most obvious thing’ someone would come up with when comparing a man to a woman. That one really got me laughing. The other one is just ’so-so’. Perhaps because I don’t understand the copy at all. The only thing I can imagine is that it has got something to do with eject buttons. Maybe the seats come off when the car is jacked, I don’t know. My guess is as good as yours.

    Copy reads something like “Now it’s easier to obtain / enjoy the things you like”.

    They’ve tried to project that statement into images, to express that there’s some difficult things you have to go trough before you can enjoy ‘the good stuff’. Like the ‘hassle’ you have to go trough to open up a bottle of good champagne. Or the hassle you have to go trough when you want to eat lobster. I agree they did a poor job, I liked the first one better.

    The campaign was aimed to promote a new financial plan for leasing all Italian BMW concession holders put together.

    The agengy of the second one ad is D’Adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli, BBDO from MIlano, Italy.

    I would have thought that driving the BMW Z4 would make one more feminine.
