Vintage Kinepolis

25 May 2006

Kinepolis is a chain of cinemas which has (for Belgian measurements) pretty huge theatres. A while ago they had an action where they offered a giant 1 liter cup of Coke. The copywriting for these ads was made by Bart Van Goethem, who recently sold himself on eBay. I specificly like the ads because they have this vintage effect and remind me of very old movie posters. I’m a big fan of those old films where blood was still so obviously paint or ketchup, and where aliens often hung on ropes you could still see. It’s like that one episode of Star Trek where the door didn’t open entirely because it got stuck, or when UFOs where dishes with aluminium foil wrapped around it. I love those times so much.
