Portable Reputations

09 May 2006

You’ve worked hard to build and maintain a pristine reputation for yourself. Rapleaf is all about helping you spread this information to any and everyone you may interact with over the web. You can copy-paste the HTML code you receive when you sign up into your listing on Craigslist, eBay, your blog, or wherever you’re looking to sell. You can also add this anywhere else on the web you want people to see your reputation. The image will automatically update as you get more feedback so you don’t need to do this more than once. Also if anyone clicks on your icon, it’ll take them directly to your profile on Rapleaf. You can also add the signature in your email footer. Although it’s mainly aimed for buyers and sellers, I think you can easily take this a level up to ‘reputation’ in general, because it has a ‘from friends’ section too.

Right now, my icon looks like this:

Get your own digital reputation at RapLeaf. This looks a little like what Tom described a while ago with the iKarma thing. I never tried that, but this is so easy to join and use that I think it might work.
