This is a bit like the fake Prada store I wrote about a while ago, but these units are actually placed in a city, not in the middle of nowhere. Ikea placed 14 of these outdoor showroom displays along the sides of a street in Aoyama in anticipation of the grand opening of the Ikea Funabashi Store (Japan). This work is called ‘Ikea 4.5 Museum’, which refers to the size of 4 and a half tatami mats.
