Things From These Last Days

03 Nov 2005

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted, I know… but I had so much things to do and so little me- time to devote to blogging. I’ve been working on the Blog Series (Randy & Philipp are already up) which I’m doing together with Jason, inviting other bloggers to come share their thoughts about blogiarism with us. The feedback is really good, and a lot of bloggers have already replied. If you want to participate, drop a line in the comments, we’ll send you an email with the questions.

I’ve also been working at These Days, the brand interaction company, for three days – they made me sign a ’shut up about this or else’ document, so I can’t really say more about this. It’s been really fun working there and I met a lot of funky people. There’s such a cool vibe hanging in the air. It’s almost addictive.

I ended up there because we had to go on a ‘field trip’ to an interactive marketing company, and I had the opportunity to help them (thesedays) out with some internet related things. Good thing I didn’t go to Atmosphere with the main part of my class. I would’ve missed out on some good opportunities.

I helped out my parents to get the garden ready for the winter, because the unsual warm temperatures of these last days made the lawn grow some serious inches. We have a rather big lawn and it takes a few hours get it done. With the H5N1 bird flu, our government has decided we have to lock up all our chickens so they can’t get in touch with travelling birds. That’s easy to say, but not so easily done. So the greenhouse needed some redecoration etc and now serves as a chicken house.

On November 1st we had to go to the graveyard to visit my parents’ parents. I have no grandparents left and the least we could do besides thinking of them is go put some flowers there every year.

I also decided I had to spend some more time with my girlfriend. The exams are coming up at school and we both have to begin focusing more on that, so the near future is going to be pretty busy. She’s been really great, and I thought I should let her know that more often. The ‘Quality Time inc’-R-Us, if you know what I mean. Damn I love that girl so much. Even more than blogging. :)

Today I went to the fantastic Factor store to put together a brand new pc for my mom ( and dad ) because the old one, still running on Win2K, was starting to get really slow and booted every time he had to use some memory. Five years of stability. That’s a new record. I’ve been running that pc for four years without having to reinstall the OS or formatting. I wish I could say the same thing for XP. I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to. Saying goodbye to Win2K, with pain in the heart. At least it’s going to be fun for my parents to be able to work without having to reboot every three or four hours. Finally it’s all done and I can get back to my favorite hobby – blogging.
