Keyboard Sneakers

25 Apr 2006

Following the meme of AZERTY Jewelry, some geeky designer came up with these keyboard sneakers of which I must say they look pretty funky. The sneakers were presented at the 14th International Clothing & Accessories Fair in Beijing, China. What a way to recycle that old keyboard. DIY tip: good way to get through a rainy day. :)

An Apple Movie Archive

22 Apr 2006

Yesterday I promised Eug from podcast.be that I’d post the links to the Apple archive I recently stumbled upon. There’s this guy called Gary L. Gray who has a huge collection of Quicktime movies on his server. It’s really extended. He lists all the Apple commercials from the 80s ’til now. Next to that he also has on archive of the keynotes that were made on the Macworld Expo and a rather complete list of product videos of all the Apple computers & Macs that have been released so far. It’s brainfood for hours on end. You’ll enjoy this, especially if you love Mac and Apple.

Apple.

Live Dot Com Road Show

21 Apr 2006

I just came back from the Microsoft Belux headquarters in Diegem where we had a talk and discuss session with evangelist Phil Holden – Director Windows Live, and Kevin Briody – Product Manager Community (MSN Marketing). The session was very interesting and of course it was all about Windows Live and its features. Phil did a demo of almost every feature I knew of. He talked about the integration of the Microsoft Gadgets in the Live.com personal homepage, about the progress in the Live Search and where it’s heading to and about Live Mail and its features. He also talked about Live Messenger and about how the contacts would be integrated into Live Mail and about Microsoft’s first steps into social networking with the Australian test run of the Spaces Friends network. Yeah, the session was quite stuffed.

FlashBag Inflatable USB

15 Apr 2006

Dima Komissarov designed a pretty cool conceptual USB device that inflates as it is getting filled up with data. Pretty neat. Patent pending. Let’s hope we can get our hands on this cool gadget really soon.

FireFox Clip

14 Apr 2006

Heheh. Tom already pointed to it on the iMerge blog, but I thought it’d be funny to link the clip here too. User generated content… is there anything it doesn’t do?

Funny as hell.

House Of Cosbys

09 Apr 2006

There’s a hilarous cartoon series that I’ve totally missed, but thanks to YouTube everybody can enjoy it now. Let’s hope it doesn’t get banned for some copyright reason. Tune in now, before it’s gone… There’s only four episodes of 5 minutes each, but they’re funny as hell.

The first Channel 101 series ever to go three consecutive months at #1, House of Cosbys was one of those rare 101 breakouts that went on to satisfy the world. In the show, the real Bill Cosby never came along and destroyed his own clones, but in real life, creator Justin Roiland and channel101.com site administrator Dan Harmon received “cease and desist” orders from Cosby’s attorney in June 2005. The legal questions ground HOC’s intensive animation process to a halt and House of Cosbys became Channel 101’s first show to be killed not by the audience or by its own creator, but by lawyers. An unofficial fifth episode was created for the live screening by Romano and Falconer but is not served by channel101.com for genuine legal concerns. However, due to outcry and outrage, Channel 101 will continue to carry the first four episodes for your enjoyment.

So in case the following movies should be erased from YouTube, you can visit Channel 101 to download them there (.mp4)
