Heheh. This billboard is just too cool. Way back when flying was still a small miracle, you can imagine the steering didn’t always go as planned, so a lot of ‘miscalculations’ were due without any doubt. The Museum Of Flight came up with this attractive billboard to promote its activities and the least you can say is that it’ll stay top of mind once you’ve seen it. It’s funny, because it’s true.

I’ve seen this one appear a few times in the past, but I’ve never seen any credits for an agency or some creative mind attached to it. Too bad, because I think it’s a real classic and it deserves to be credited to someone. If anyone knows who created this, feel free to drop it in the comments, and I’ll add it to the post. This ad says so many things without words. Has the Dark Side decided to become enlightened? Has Philips become the supplier of ‘The Force’? Either way, the power of Philips is definitely underestimated if you look at this :) Nice one.
This one is pretty lame but I’ve gotten it over a dozen times by email, which would mean it’s somewhat viral in one way or the other. The purpose isn’t anything else but humor and some twisted mind got busy thinking about the concept and started drawing it all out. I don’t know where it comes from, have totally no idea what the purpose is other than trying to amuse a certain audience. It reminds me of silly jokes we used to make in the first and second grade, trying to find ’sexual’ alternatives for generally known abbreviations or taking some brand’s slogan and ripping it out of its context, giggling girlish with anything that had something to do with women or sex. I think this is something of the same level of intelligence, but nevertheless, it’s consumer generated, it concerns brands and yeah, in one distant way or the other it sort of links to advertising as well I guess.

These are simply adorable. I totally fell in love with the concept and the style of execution. Adorably cute, so innocent and so true. This is a good idea. A really good one. Notice the composition of the images, the way they picture the boys room vs. the girls room. Dammit, I like this so much. I wish I could print them poster-sized so I could frame them and hang them on the wall in my bedroom (without the product info, understandably). This is so ’she and him’, so classic and so stylish. I’ve got to think of a way to get the images that are printed on those sheets!

Good morning readers! When you’re reading this, I’ll be on my way to the sunny isle of Djerba, situated in the south-east of Tunisia on the Gulf of Gabes. I’ll think of you guys, holding a cocktail in my hand, lying underneath a giant straw hat with my lovely gorgeous princess next to me. Yeah. It’s the time of the year to go at ease, chill out a bit and relax a lot. Just wanted to let you know.
We’ve booked a cozy hotel named ‘Les Dunes’ and it looks like this:
I’m off until September 4th, but I’ve scheduled about 25 posts for the next seven days, so normally your daily dose of ads should be covered. A lot of them are old ones from the offline archive, so it might very well be that you’ve seen some before. I’ve asked two nice guys to moderate the comments a bit, but you can expect a certain delay, and I don’t know if I have an internet connection at the hotel, so I’ll probably won’t answer to questions or reply to comments. Just so you know. Enjoy your days, I know I will.
