Axe Booty Tones

25 May 2006

Another cute campaign from Axe, the never-ending advertising hit. This campaign is all about a mini-site where you can download ringtones for free and assign them to the girls in your little black book, so you’ll never miss (or answer) calls from them again. The tones are snippets from famous rock and pop songs of the last century like Sexual Healing, Take Me Out, Pour Some Sugar On Me, U Remind Me and a lot of others. The most funny one I pre-listened was the tune from Twilight Zone for the nutty ladies in your list. That one was truly hilarious. Only limitation: the ringtones are only for AT&T, Cingular, Sprint and T-Mobile clients. So… that’s too bad, because I’m neither of that. But it’s funny, and if you’re into ringtones, you could try it.

There’s 16 tracks (and ‘hotties’) to be downloaded. If a track belongs to a group or singer, the website of that group appears underneath the download button. That’s pretty nice. Apparently all the images are licensed by DreamsTime.com, which is funny because from a brand like Axe I’d expect them be able to pay for some real models, and not for stock pictures you can buy for $1 a piece.
