Atmospheric Pollution Singapore

04 May 2006

The Singapore Environment Council ordered these ads to inform people about what they could do to prevent atmospheric pollution. The mission of the SEC is to educate, inspire and assist individuals, business organizations and evironmental groups to care for and protect the environment. A noble cause, and definitely worth fighting for. I like the creative angle they used with the witch and the cupid. There’s also an ad with an alien in it in this same campaign, but I didn’t really like it, because it doesn’t fit in with the witch and cupid.

Somebody at Fallon overlooked something, because the url in the ads say to go to http://www.sec.org.com.sg, while in fact it’s http://www.sec.org.sg. Ooops.

Fallon? These look like pretty similar in nature to a Strawberry frog tv ad from a few years ago for the Singapore Environment Council. In the one I saw (which used to be on the SF site), some kids are playing when they see (a faux) Superman fall out of the sky, and then there’s some text regarding atmospheric pollution. It might be accessible, via archive.org (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.strawberryfrog.com/sf/), though I can’t get it to work.

Hmm. I quoted Fallon because that’s what it said on AdsOfTheWorld. Could be that I’m wrong, but if I am, then so is AdsOfTheWorld. I’ll see if I can get a confirmation from somewhere…
